Jason Momoa Recounts Hawaii Flood Evacuation In Emotional Video

Jason Momoa has revealed that he and his family were forced to evacuate from Oahu’s North Shore as devastating flooding hit parts of Hawaii. “Got my family with me. We got out of the North Shore – lot of people have been asking. Our power went off. We’re safe for now, but there’s a lot of people who aren’t, so sending all our love,” the actor, who was born in Hawaii, said in a video posted to his Instagram stories. “North Shore’s pretty gnarly right now so just love and hopefully everyone’s safe in getting out and we’ll get together and figure out how we can help everyone. All my love,” he added. The Honolulu Department of Emergency Management had previously issued evacuation notices for certain areas, as they warned that “dangerous flash flooding” was imminent or already occurring. The flooding has been described as Hawaii’s worst in 20 years. Momoa has additionally been sharing clips of the destruction from the rainstorms in several recent social media posts.
