Wuthering Heights – or should we say “Wuthering Heights” – has been one of the most-talked about movies of the year to date, for better or worse, and the conversation is set to continue as it’s now confirmed its imminent digital release date.

Warner Bros has confirmed that you’ll be able to buy or rent the movie from Monday 30 March. You can pre-order Wuthering Heights right now on Prime Video and AppleTV to be able to watch it as soon as it’s released next Monday.

Wuthering Heights is still out in cinemas if you want the big-screen experience, with the movie currently the third-biggest release of 2026 with an impressive $234.4 million to date worldwide.

Written and directed by Emerald Fennell, the new adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic novel stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in the central roles of Cathy and Heathcliff, respectively. The cast also features Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell.

It split critics on its release last month and currently stands at only 57% on Rotten Tomatoes from 332 reviews. Debate around the movie centred on the marked change in tone from Brontë’s novel, with Fennell making multiple tweaks to the story, including the ending to Cathy’s story.

“It begins where it ends and ends where it begins. And that’s the thing about love, and it’s the thing about the book, right? It’s that it’s forever and it’s cyclical, and so there’s no stop – even when there’s a terrible, sad, tragic stop, it’s not really a stop – because that’s what the book feels so much about,” she explained about the ending.

“It’s about the depths of human feeling and how it exists in a profound way, not just a physical one. And so that, I don’t know, that felt like the right way to end it for me.”

While Wuthering Heights has now confirmed its digital release, we still don’t have an official date for its streaming debut. Since it’s a Warner Bros movie, the first streaming platform will be HBO Max.

The streaming service finally launches this week in the UK, meaning that the streaming release for the movie should be the same as in the US. Typically, it takes Warner Bros movies around three months to arrive on HBO Max which points to a mid-May release for Wuthering Heights.

Wuthering Heights is out now in cinemas, and can be pre-ordered on Prime Video and AppleTV ahead of its digital release on 30 March.
