A close friend of Princess Beatrice has broken their silence following recent reports which contained bombshell allegations about her marriage to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The claims suggested that Beatrice and Edo, as he’s commonly known, were creating some “distance” between them after the royal’s husband was spotted making frequent work trips to the United States.

Mr Mapelli Mozzi, who runs interiors firm Banda Property, has been posting regular updates from his recent overseas travels. The Mail on Sunday reported that “things have not been great for a while” between Beatrice and her husband, who she wed in 2020, and suggested that Edo is concerned about his business being impacted by his in-laws’ Epstein controversy.

It comes as Beatrice’s father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has had a dramatic fall from grace these past few months, following his arrest in February and the King’s decision to strip him of all his royal titles and evict him from his Royal Lodge home.

However, Beatrice’s pals have insisted that the allegations are not true and have rubbished claims that their marriage is failing with a four-word response -it’s “not true at all”. They told Hello! Magazine: “The only thing Bea and Edo are navigating are their busy jobs and looking after their children!

“They’ve both had recent stints working abroad and like so many working parents, have been balancing work with looking after the kids.” They continued: “Recent reports that things aren’t good between them are not true at all.

“Things are great between them and the only distance between them recently has been physical distance because of work!” It comes as the pair were photographed enjoying some quality time together over the weekend.

The princess and her husband were spotted in Notting Hill, London, on a date. The pair were seen at Eeel Sushi Bar, where they apparently spent two hours before departing in a Porsche.

Beatrice cut a stylish figure in a black cardigan adorned with gold buttons, whilst her husband looked smart in a navy blazer paired with a salmon-coloured shirt.

Meanwhile, Eugenie has also been spotted out and about several times since Andrew’s arrest on February 19, the same day as his 65th birthday.

It’s believed the York sisters have been attempting to create some distance from their disgraced father as the King is keen for his niece’s to be left out of the Epstein scandal.

The monarch made it quite clear on the day of Andrew’s arrest that he would not be protecting his younger brother throughout the police’s investigation.

In a statement released on the day, he said: “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.

“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.

“In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.

“Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter.

“Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.

“Charles R.”
