  1. They say a lie travels halfway around the world before the truth has a chance, but Ritchson actually managed to grab hold of the lie just after it left the neighborhood. Genuinely impressive.

  2. I really appreciate the breakups/makeups/knockups tag applied to this.

But yeah, smooth moves so far from Alan. I assumed he didn’t punch a guy in front of his kids for no reason, but neighbor homie is doing Alan’s PR for him.

I was worried he was the aggressor. He’s a funny guy, but roid rage just made sense. Sorry for jumping to conclusions, Alan!

  4. Can you imagine looking at a human shaped like a refrigerator made of muscle and saying “I’m gonna teach that bitch a lesson”.

Almost certain his kids or even him had a gopro on their bikes and filmed every second of it, and the other guy will get another slap in the face if he presses charges

This is an example of how nice guys don’t in fact finish last.

Ritchson has spent his fame being an advocate for progressive causes, and seems like an otherwise family-oriented, thoughtful guy.

So when a video comes out of him literally beating another man in the street, people immediately say “there has to be more to this story” instead of “this man is an abuser, call CFS”.

This having taken place in Brentwood just makes sense. If you know, you know. The pop-up city is a suburb of Nashville and a place where celebs and other big money people like to settle down. It is aesthetically a nice place. It is also like existing 24/7 in a giant HOA. Breathing in a way deemed incorrect by a whiny, nosy neighbor or citizen can cause a major battle lasting decades with endless civil court dates and attorney fees.

Good for Ritchson for standing up for himself. The neighbor was minding everyone else’s business but his own, let his own self-righteousness lead him, and he got knocked down several pegs. The best part is the neighbor telling on himself, no doubt at the advice from lawyers.

Regardless of where you live, be a community member and advocate, but also mind your business. Let other people exist. If neighbors are not causing you and yours any direct hurt or harm, leave them be. This neighborhood definitely has an HOA that the neighbor could have appealed to for assistance or to speak to Ritchson. The neighbor decided to escalate it on his own, tried to cause harm, and Ritchson rightfully ended it.

That’s pure Skyrim thug logic: That guy just took down a dragon, let’s mug him.

Hi I’m very tired and on new meds – what did the other dude do to warrant the beat down?

  10. Do you think Napoleon knew how many times this quote was going to be posted by messy people in catty interpersonal fights when he originally said it? I like to think so.

  11. A far better interpretation of Napoleon than whatever the hell Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix were trying to do.

  12. The other guy keeps digging a deeper hole. It would be funny if it wasn’t so expected.

Seems to me that neighbor was fed up w loud dangerous driving in a residential neighborhood where speed limit is 25 or less. How was he in the wrong?
