Kurt Russell is opening up about his home in Colorado. In a new interview, Russell shared why he and his longtime partner Goldie Hawn are spending more time in the snowy state over Los Angeles, the city where they’ve built their careers and spent most of their lives. The two form a part of a larger trend of actors who are leaving behind LA in order to pursue cities that are more peaceful and away from the spotlight.

Russell spoke about his love of Colorado while promoting his new TV show, “The Madison.” “What I enjoy most is that [Hawn] really likes it in Colorado,” he said in an interview with Fox News. He shared that his son Wyatt lives there alongside his wife and their two kids, making it easier for the family to spend more time together.

“Wyatt and Meredith and their two boys, they live in Colorado now. So we like to spend as much time there as we can,” he said. “I’d like to be there more. And there’s a different kind of life there. That’s primarily it. I’d like to be able to spend as much time there as possible.”

Following the pandemic and the popularization of remote work, a lot of actors have left Los Angeles as their home base, opting to live in other cities that allow them more freedom. Actors like George Clooney, Joe Manganiello, Eva Longoria, and more have shared their reasons why they’ve decided to leave the city behind for something new and away from their daily work lives.

Why Russell and Hawn have never married
A family affair! Goldie Hawn had the support of her family on November 3 as she hosted "Goldie's Love In for Kids" event at Ron Burkle's Green Acres Estate in Beverly Hills. The Hollywood favorite was joined by her husband Kurt Russell and children: Wyatt Russell and Kate Hudson, along with Kate's son Ryder Robinson. The stylish family were caught laughing together as they posed for pictures on the carpet.
Goldie created The Hawn Foundation to help children discover the tools and skills to deal with high levels of stress and anxiety. The annual event helps raise money for the foundation and their MindUP program. Other stars in attendance included: Emily Ratajkowski, Josh Duhamel, Connie Britton, Melanie Griffith, Chelsea Handler, singer Colbie Caillat, tennis player Novak Djokovic, and Barely Famous sisters Erin and Sara Foster.

Russell and Hawn have been together for decades, coparenting their children and building one of Hollywood’s most stable relationships. The two never got married, a decision that they periodically explain to different news outlets.

“Goldie and I met again in 1983, while working on the film ‘Swing Shift,’” he said to the Wall Street Journal. “By then, both of us had been through divorces, and she had two small kids, Oliver and Kate, and I had one, Boston. We hit it off and agreed, ‘Let’s have fun until we don’t.’ It’s been 43 years.”
