Chappell Roan Reacts to Claim She Left Jude Law’s Daughter “in Tears” | E! News

Chappell Roan addressed a viral controversy after an alleged fan encounter involving her security team. The “Pink Pony Club” singer spoke out on her March 22 Instagram Stories after Brazilian soccer star Jorginho claimed his 11-year-old stepdaughter—whom his wife Catherine Harding shares with actor Jude Law—was left in tears following an interaction with a security guard at a hotel in Brazil. In response, Chappell clarified that it was not her personal security and insisted she was unaware of the situation as it unfolded. She stated that no one approached her directly and emphasized that she did not instruct anyone to engage with the family. While denying involvement, Chappell acknowledged the situation and issued an apology to the mother and child, expressing that they “did not deserve” to feel uncomfortable. 1. I literally think this woman is a snob. Her and politics. Her music is not that great. Took her a long, long time to even get where she is today. Maybe if stopped only thinking of herself then people would like her more.

  2. Considering all the iPhones and android phones about. If this happened wheres all the videos. Something like this would be plastered all over the Internet

  3. Good god.. leave her alone.. if the most problematic thing she does is ask for a little space and privacy sometimes then she’s doing good. Also most of you commenting would literally CRUMBLE if you were in her shoes. I understand that she “asked for it… “🙄 but NOBODY knows what to expect when you blow up like that, she went from being unknown to stalked on the streets.. in a pretty short time too, give her a break.. nobody wants to feel like they have zero privacy!

  4. People love to hate her for any bread crumb they can get. It's giving misogyny and queerphobia. But we're used to y'all. 🏳️‍🌈😘

  5. Lying down in a bed under her snuggle covers to tell her side of the story? Please. Sit up like a grown woman and apologize to the 11 year old girl that your security team made cry. All the respect you lost, and all that money down the drain because you thought you were above it all.

  6. Designers should stop giving her couture clothes to be photographed in (since that's the point). Red carpet photographers (they are press not paparazzi.. remember that) should put their cameras down when she passes. She doesn't want it, stop giving it to her. Let her go off label and let her create her stuff without funding and be low-key. This is the definition of trying to have your cake and eat it too.

  7. Seems like people with a pretty clear agenda are willing to blame Roan for the behavior of another person which she had no part in. Big surprise.

Will say her response video might've seemed more sincere if she didn't film it bed-selfie style with nearly a smirk, but that hardly merits banning her from a city by a dude with the same intolerant agenda as the trolls in this comment section.

  8. Without context, this would be a multiverse level of confusion…
    Jorginho the (🇮🇹 NOT 🇧🇷) footballer + Jude Law + his ex + stepdaughter + chappel roam = 🤯🤯🤯

  9. A footballer attempting to act the 'protector' of a child that isn’t even his ran his mouth off before getting the full picture, and now a young woman is catching heat for something she didn't even do.

Imagine that. Imagine just going about your normal day and waking up to a ton of controversy that you had no idea was coming your way, over something you had no idea had even happened.

This is such a nothing burger, but because it's a famous woman against a famous male, all of a sudden she's public enemy number one.

  10. gone are the days we like celebrities. they used to be loved, respected and very professional on their craft. now adays these celebs are full of crap, delulu and feeling entitled.

  11. There is a bit of personality problem with Chapell. She snaps and shouts at her staff which is on YouTube for people to see. However it is very hard to be famous right now for young people like her. The media are demons right now. Collectors should be prosecuted for harassment of these people and social media is vile. It's no wonder Britney is playing with knives, Kanye has gone bonkers and Shia lebouf is walking the streets screaming at nothing. The girl seems to be doing what she can to protect her mental health.
