don’t though. Though if anyone could do it, Colbert has the passion & LOTR knowledge to do it.
He’s a big LOTR head. I never got into it myself.
I know he’s a Tolkien super fan, but I was not expecting this headline lol — especially given that David Ellison killed his show and will now own Warner Bros
At least we know the lore will be accurate.

I hated this at first but read the article – Colbert isn’t remaking the movies. he’s adapting the early part of Book 1 that Jackson did not adapt. GREAT

This is a tough one. Colbert knows the books and movies more than anyone else, except maybe Peter. He’s arguably the #1 superfan. However, I don’t think he has experience in writing and producing movies, and I don’t know if these six chapters are enough to make not only a movie, but a compelling movie. So I don’t know.
