>Ahead of the end of the first quarter later this week, the news program is on track for its lowest-rated first quarter this century, across both total viewers and the crucial 25-54 demographic, Status reports, citing preliminary Nielsen ratings. The program is currently averaging 4.3 million viewers; in the 25-54 demographic, ratings are down by 18 percent at just 541,000 viewers.
>To make matters worse, the network’s morning show—of which Dokoupil, 45, used to be co-host—is also failing to attract viewers, with CBS Mornings experiencing its lowest-rated quarter on record, averaging 1.8 million total viewers, down from 13 percent in the same quarter last year.
When those who trusted CBS since the days of Cronkite see it be purchased and taken over by MAGA propagandists who openly announced they were going to manipulate the message, did you really think those same viewers would stick around?
Used to watch CBS News, 60 Minutes and Sunday Morning quite frequently. I have completely stopped due to the right-wing buyout and foxification of that network. Enjoy last place you ghouls.

I got in a Twitter argument with him a few years ago due to his one sided segments on the morning show. His excuse was he talks to regular people because apparently non MAGA aren’t regular people.

I refuse to even click on a CBS news story any more. Once Colbert is gone, there’s absolutely no reason CBS enters my mind any longer.

CBS was the gold standard for news for many years with Edward R. Murrow, and Walter Cronkite and then 60 minutes. It is sad to see what has happened to their news division.

The average person who watches mainstream news wants at least the appearance of being non-partisan. And MAGA only wants to watch pure propaganda where Trump is presented as a patriotic genius. You can’t be both things.
