For Antonela Roccuzzo, being married to one of the greatest soccer players in the world is undeniably a defining part of her life. Yet, above everything else, motherhood remains her top priority. The Argentine entrepreneur and influencer shares three sons with her husband, Lionel Messi—children she describes as her greatest devotion and the center of her world.
In a recent interview with the Mexican edition of Harper’s Bazaar, Roccuzzo spoke candidly about how motherhood has transformed her identity and how this role continues to evolve as her children grow older. With her sons becoming more independent, she has found space to reconnect with herself in ways that previously felt out of reach.

“At this moment, I feel more mature, focusing on the things that truly matter,” said Roccuzzo, who currently lives in Miami with her family. “My children are older now, and that allows me to enjoy certain things for myself that I couldn’t before.” With a touch of humor, she added, “But most of all, I feel a bit older,” referencing her recent 38th birthday.
While her long-standing relationship with Messi has shaped many aspects of her life, Roccuzzo made it clear that becoming a mother marked the most profound turning point. “What changed me the most as a woman was becoming a mom,” she admitted. “From that moment on, my children became my priority.”
Together, Roccuzzo and Messi are parents to Thiago, 13; Mateo, 11; and Ciro, 8. Their family dynamic reflects a deep bond built over years of shared experiences, both personal and professional. As her children grow, Roccuzzo finds herself entering a new phase—one that allows her to balance motherhood with personal growth.

“I’m really enjoying this stage where my kids are no longer so little,” she explained. “I’m starting to value myself differently and place myself at the center too. This is something new for me, and I’m taking it step by step.”
Beyond her role at home, Roccuzzo has built a strong presence in the business and fashion worlds. She collaborates with major global brands such as Adidas, Tiffany & Co., and Anastasia Beverly Hills, while also managing several business ventures in Argentina.

Soccer remains a central thread in the family’s daily life. Messi serves as captain of Inter Miami, while their three sons are actively involved in the club’s academy, already achieving notable success in youth competitions. Still, life at home is not solely defined by sports. Roccuzzo revealed a more playful side of their routine: building LEGO creations together.
“With my kids, we’ve created a kind of museum where we display all our LEGO builds,” she shared, highlighting the importance of simple, shared moments.
Raising Grounded Children in a High-Profile World
Roccuzzo has consistently emphasized the importance of instilling strong values in her children. In a previous interview with Vogue México y Latinoamérica, she spoke about her approach to parenting and the principles she hopes to pass on. “I want my children to have good values, to be respectful and to appreciate what they have,” she said. “It’s essential for them to understand that we are no better than anyone else. We try to pass on the same values our parents taught us.”
She also underscored the role of communication in raising her sons, particularly in today’s digital age. “Respect is the most important thing,” she explained. “We talk a lot at home. Communication is key for me—discussing social media, being present in their daily lives, and understanding what they’re going through.”
