Wow. We watched the episode last night. I did hear that someone was going to die but I didn't know who. It was sad and shocker. NCIS is and has been my favorite show for very long time.
When you get use to a character for so long it's hard to let go. The fact he lasted so long as director of NCIS is testament of what the actor brought to the role. We got a complete character arc of Vance as a father and a boss. When he was killed he thought he had lost it all only to discover that his sacrifice was not in vain. The big question is who will lead NCIS for the future? Who will fill those shoes in?
