Mariska Hargitay ushered in summer early, wearing a black one-piece swimsuit at the beach.

Hargitay’s beach day comes after a very busy year, which saw the actress release her debut feature and receive a Time Woman of the Year award.
Mariska Hargitay has already begun ushering in the summer season early, heading out for a sunny beach vacation. The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit actress shared a glimpse of her recent beach day, with a March 24 Instagram post. “Hello sunshine☀️🕶️💙 recharging🔌🐚,” she wrote.
In the glowy selfies, she posed happily on the beach in a classic black one-piece swimsuit with a scoop neckline. She accessorized the laid-back look with an oversized straw hat. All in all, the outfit was UV protection-meets-style. The woven hat featured a heart detail on the front and an under-the-chin strap. She wore a pair of oversized black sunglasses, while she carried another pair of glasses in her hand.

Hargitay’s beach day follows a busy winter. Not only has she been filming the 27th season of SVU in New York City, she recently made a glitzy appearance at Time’s Women of the Year gala in Los Angeles. She wore a dramatic white gown with a thigh-high slit for the event and was honored as one of Time’s Women of the Year. The award honored her extensive work as an advocate, actress, and filmmaker.
Last June, Hargitay released her directorial debut with the documentary, My Mom Jayne, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. In the film, Hargitay delves into her own traumatic, mysterious past.
