I can understand offering to do basic first aid things but a tracheotomy I mean, Jesus Christ he could’ve killed that dude you can not just do that kind of a thing you have to be taught how to do that you have to have experience and practice. You’re literally creating a hole in somebody’s throat
What a ridiculous stupid country asking payments for Ambulance while having defense budgets surpassing entire Nations GDPs, which are providing free ambulance services 24/7. Even private hospitals in my country couldn’t charge for Ambulance fee. That is a like living in a hell.

It always comes back to a sanctimonious cey session about money. Its not about the money. Its regulation, and screwing with the system so peoples options are limited, allowing insurance companies to decide what care a patient can and can not have. I feel for you guys in the US on medical issues, they charge you for being ill, here in the UK we have the National Health Service, all we pay for is any prescription we need, and that is only £10 per item, your system is broken and you guys should really get onto fixing that, for a country that makes the claim to be the “Greatest nation on earth” you sure seem to be fkn up a lot lately

We learned cricothyroidotomies in medic school, never performed one as a medic but have seen a few from .the field as a nurse. It’s actually stupid simple

Fr tho im not even a doctor or paramedic, barely have any knowledge about nursing other than basic wound dressing and how to stop certain fatal bleedouts from happening until first responders can arrive but even i know if you gotta cut someones throat open like that to run a tube its the lower section where theres less obstruction for the tube
Paramedics are not allowed to perform that procedure this is just a television show. You can look this up yourself. No EMT or medic is allowed to perform that procedure. They're not trying to do that procedure. They're trying to find another way to give the man air until they get him to a hospital or her

It's great that he wants to help people. But yeah never try to do any type of dangerous surgery or anything if you don't know what you're doing. If he wants to do something like that, go through proper courses. Learn everything you need to know then go be some. I don't know off the grid emergency service. At least you know what you're doing by that point. I assume he didn't go through all that and might be using Google or something
How you mess up a Cric is beyond me. They are not as hard as movies and shows make em sound. Obviously this is not me telling you to go out and try em yourself, get professional training, but once you do, putting a sandwich together is more difficult than a cric

First responders might make mistakes sure. Though tbh such an obvious mistake as here I’m doubtful. What first responders don’t do, is leave their patients to die after their mistakes.
He can at least try to learn First. Aid from the American Red Cross before he even thinks of attempting to help in an emergency.

Just remember there’s enough money for the US healthcare system to be subsidized- but the politicians you’re parents and you’re parents- parents have been voting in for generations have been bleed the system dry.
