Ryan Murphy’s Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, one of 2026’s biggest TV sensations so far, aired its season finale on March 26.
The FX series chronicles the intensely scrutinised romance between John F. Kennedy Jr – son of former US president John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis – and Calvin Klein publicist Carolyn Bessette. The couple is portrayed by Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon, while JFK Jr’s cousin and close friend, Prince Anthony Radziwill, is played by Erich Bergen.

His mother, Caroline Lee Radziwill, and JFK Jr’s mother were sisters. His royal title comes from his father, Prince Stanislaw Radziwill, a Polish aristocrat. He was married to Real Housewives of New York alum Carole Radziwill.
Radziwill lost his life to cancer at the age of 40. Bergen, currently also 40, was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the age of 27. Earlier this month, he got candid about his diagnosis on Instagram. “I’m very grateful to be here today to tell my story, and a little bit of Anthony’s [in Love Story],” he wrote.
The actor also emceed Gateway for Cancer Research’s Celebrity Fight Night in Scottsdale, Arizona, earlier this month, where he reflected on surviving cancer and “portraying someone who lost their battle with the same disease at the same age”.
Bergen was initially asked to audition for JFK Jr in Love Story, but passed because “there’s just not enough sit-ups in the world that I can do to get to the body that I need to have for JFK [Jr]”, he told People.
