There’s something so theatrical and fantastical about a wide-brim hat. Earlier this week, Princess Catherine was the picture of elegance in a black-and-white straw design by British milliner Juliette Botterill; and yesterday, Anya Taylor-Joy looked just as regal in a beautiful pale-pink creation from Jacquemus.

The piece in question was an ample disc-like design that created a halo effect in the way it framed the actor’s face.

Taylor-Joy wore the incredible hat with a matching suede set from the house’s Fall/Winter 2026 “Le Palmier” collection. Up top, she wore a bandeu-style top with sheer mesh on the back. And to go with it, she slipped into a high-waisted pencil skirt adorned with flirty pleats at the very bottom. The contrast created a dramatic, sophisticated silhouette.

Even Taylor-Joy’s blush manicure perfectly matched her monochrome look.

White stiletto sandals from Giuseppe Zanotti and romantic diamond jewelry from Tiffany & Co. added some shine to the ensemble, while a berry lip injected into it a fresh dose of vibrant color.

The actor wore the pastel look to attend a photocall for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in Tokyo, Japan. Styled by Ryan Hastings, the peachy-pink outfit was meant to channel Taylor-Joy’s character, the iconic Princess Peach. (Taylor-Joy voices Princess Peach in 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and returns in the new sequel.) It seems the era of method dressing is far from over.
