  1. Not every woman wants to be a mom, this country does not stigmatize childfree men like Leonardo DiCaprio.

She looks incredible. There is something to be said for the beautiful women of the 90s and 2000s, who matured before the current times of 20 year old starlets going under the knife for fillers and chin implants.

For me, I won’t be having kids because I know that I wouldn’t be a good parent. I think the belief that everyone should just have kids no matter what is selfish. I feel as though it would be selfish for me to have kids knowing that I cannot be a good parent, and every child deserves good parent(s) and a safe environment.

it’s like asking me why I’m not a surgeon. because it’s expensive, grueling, and I’d be bad at it Sharon.

cheers to all my childfree girlies~

  6. I totally agree with this. And I don’t think people should be asked these types of questions. It’s their own business why they chose to have kids or not pls just let them do their thing

I think sometimes that women have to put on this front of “oh I’d be bad at it” as an excuse not to have children, but I think a lot of women just don’t want that path in life.

Like, no, I’d actually be really good at raising children I just have other things I’d like to do.

I hate the fact that women are still being asked questions about why they haven’t had children. Noone is going up to women with children asking them why they never became a film star.

That is one amazing, gorgeous 56 year-old! Kudos to her for living her life as she wants.

  10. I’m exhausted and I thought the lady doing the interview was Heather Graham and I was like, “Damn, she looks different.”

I don’t understand this obsession with wanting *other people* to be parents.

Do we not see the state of the world? The economy? Cost of childcare? Impending WW3?

I think it’s a win win situation. She didn’t want kids and she didn’t have one.

  13. I’d be a great mom. Doesn’t mean I have to be or want to be.

I enjoy only having to be responsible for myself. And occasionally my husband.

I don’t even want a pet because I’m not sure I want to deal with their needs.

  14. I’m 31 and can barely take care of myself, let alone a child! Plus I’m a teacher so I already spend most of my days with children. I can’t IMAGINE coming home after work and not getting to relax 😭

  15. She is so beautiful. I swear she has looked the same forever. Love Drugstore Cowboy and Boogie Nights and of course license to drive.

My (male) coworker couldn’t make sense of it when I said I don’t want kids and I wouldn’t be happy at all if I’d had one. “I can’t imagine, then what is your purpose?” 🙄 Another male coworker asked who’d take care of me when I’m older, like having kids guarantees you a caretaker.

It’s the fact that you get questioned “but why” every time you say you don’t want to.

  17. This conversation is so tired. If you don’t want kids don’t have them. Stop asking women why this and that. Who cares. That’s what they desire with their lives. I don’t want any person to invest in something they don’t want. Being a parent has made me feel extremely fulfilled and happy. That is not everyone’s experience or desire and that’s ok. End of discussion.
