Trick Williams has done very well for himself since joining the SmackDown roster in 2026. In fact, on tonight’s (Mar. 27) episode, GM Nick Aldis said he’s so impressed with how popular Trick is that he’s rewarding him with a match next month at WrestleMania 42. No opponent was revealed.
Trick was thrilled with the news. However, that loser standing next to him was not. Nick had a very different answer when Sami Zayn asked what the plan is for him at WWE’s biggest show of the year. Aldis said Sami is an important star on the roster, but things haven’t been going his way lately. As a result, there is no WrestleMania match for Sami this year.
Zayn walked away dejected, before going back up to Nick and asserting that he will find a way onto the ‘Mania card. Sami then punched Trick in the face and walked off to figure out his next move.
Will Sami Zayn turn to the dark side and cheat if that’s what it takes to get on WrestleMania 42? Perhaps he’ll go find Carmelo Hayes and ask about that weekly open challenge for his belt?
