Israeli police prevent Catholic leaders from celebrating Palm Sunday Mass at Jerusalem church. The Catholic Church called the police decision “a manifestly unreasonable and grossly disproportionate measure.”

As a former Catholic, I’ve found it to be morbidly interesting to observe some of the Catholics in my life having an indifferent-at-best attitude toward zionism. Like, do you really think the zionists are going to “live and let live” with the catholics and christians in the area? That is some grade A dangerous naive thinking right there.

the cardinal refused has been very vocal in calling out the genocide in gaza, this is the type of petty actions i fully expect from the israeli police, no consequences for arbitrarily stopping Muslims praying at al asqa either

  3. A draconian settler colonial entity built upon the ideology of settler colonialism and the supremacy of one group of people over all others

  4. For anyone not reading the article, because of increased bombing from Iran, gatherings of over 50 people have been unilaterally banned with the exception of gathering in a shelter. The Cardinal was trying to say mass while observing said restrictions, and was stopped anyway.

Edit because apparently people don’t read: this is NOT a defense of Israel. There were restrictions in place because of bomb risks, the Cardinal was following them and *still* was prevented from saying mass.

God will teach these bad people a lesson.
In life people need to live and let live.
