Curious what town in Westchester this is…. Anyone know?

edit: just googled and it’s apparently in Harrison which I never would’ve guessed.

Curious what ā€œrequired far more renovationā€ even means. Ā Is it actual, necessary work or just rich person ā€œcan you move the kitchen to the other side of the houseā€ work?

What is it about bright red walls lately?! I’ve been house hunting, and I swear every third house has a room with bright red walls. I can already see the three coats of paint I would need to change them.

  4. As a window lover, I would die for that amount of natural light. Plus that sunroom!

  5. Woof, that style is not for me at all. Stuff like the tiles in the bathroom, or the 4 different styles of couches and chairs in the same room facing each others. There are so many strong different room defining patterns sometimes on top of each others. It’s a lot for me, i think id go insane lol.

But even then I gotta say, it really gives the house a little je ne sais quoi. It doesn’t feel like those other celebrity listings, if that makes sense. It’s a retreat and she’s Drew Barrymore, so i doubt she often stayed there in the 2 years she owned it (especially with renovations), yet it still feels lived in and loved.

Edit: That sun room is insanely beautiful tho

  6. I don’t understand why you need 9 bathrooms for 6 bedrooms? I guess I don’t speak rich.Ā

You know you’re old when you see those gorgeous windows & immediately think what a pain in the ass they’d be to clean.

People think renovating is going to be a fun project.

Some people are built for it – but for most people it sucks. People have literally gotten divorced over renovations.

Should you be revealing your reason for selling is the unexpectedly large amount of work the house needs? Lol

Love when a place seems to perfectly match the essence of the person who lives in it. One of these days I hope to accomplish the same (probably never).
