Prince Harry is hopeful that an invitation may be extended to his family to visit Sandringham this summer.
The Duke of Sussex, who departed the royal family in 2020, has only seen his father King Charles twice in two years.
Following his exit from the royal family, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle took their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and made the move to the United States.

It is understood Archie and Lilibet haven’t seen their grandfather in up to four years, and Meghan’s last appearance in the UK came during the funeral fo the late Queen Elizabeth.
While Prince Harry and brother Prince William don’t seem to have built any bridges, Harry is hoping for an invitation for some ‘family time’ from his father this summer.
It comes as the Duke of Sussex awaits a decision on his security in the United Kingdom.

The 41-year-old has previously expressed feeling unsafe without security in the UK. He was stripped of security personnel when he stepped back as a senior member of the family.
The Sunday Times report that an invitation from the King to Sandringham would automatically afford The Sussexes a package of security.
‘He’d like an invite to Sandringham,’ a friend of the Prince’s told The Sunday Times.

The King and Prince last met on September 10 in an encounter at Clarence House which is understood to have lasted less than an hour.
The meeting came 19 months after their last catch up.
Last July, Harry admitted he didn’t know ‘how long’ the King, who is battling cancer, had left as he opened up on reconciliation with his family.
Speaking to BBC News, Harry said: ‘Of course, [the Royal Family] will never forgive me for lots of things but… I would love reconciliation with my family, there’s no point in continuing to fight anymore.
‘Life is pressure. I don’t know how long my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.’
