Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly facing yet another downgrade to his living conditions after being kicked out of his 30-room Royal Lodge mansion, with claims he could soon be moving into a “moss covered caravan”.
Wood Farm, where Andrew has been staying more recently, is a relatively modest five-bedroom farmhouse on the Sandringham estate, previously used by Prince Philip following his retirement.
It was seen as a temporary solution after Andrew was effectively forced out of his former Windsor home when King Charles withdrew financial backing, including funding for security and upkeep.
“His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement last October. “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
“His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, not withstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”
Now, reports suggest that Marsh Farm (a more basic, agricultural property that isn’t fit to occupy) will become Andrew’s next base – and it comes complete with a caravan-style mobile home already on site. Which the royal may well need to live in for a time.

In a surprising twist, sources claim Andrew has actually taken a liking to the setup.
“Andrew uses it himself, would you believe, and what’s more shocking is, he likes it. He really is a changed man; he’s enjoyed sitting in the caravan. It’s novel for him,” one source told GB News.
Another added, “Marsh Farm has needed rewiring and plastering and there was even talk of asbestos – it’s not in a fit state for him yet. Meanwhile, Andrew wants the best of everything and the process is painfully slow.
“But he needs to be out soon, and the King would have no qualms about pushing him out of Wood Farm if it was needed for overspill. Andrew might end up sleeping in that caravan if he’s not careful.”
The ongoing reshuffle comes amid Andrew’s continued fall from public life following his links to Jeffrey Epstein and the settlement of a civil case (without any admission of guilt) brought by Virginia Giuffre in 2022.
The ex-Prince has always denied wrongdoing.
