  1. I am looking forward to her being in more movies so I can eventually stop hearing “running up that hill” by Kate Bush every time I see her.

I’m sure they’re both wonderful in these roles, but I do wish the trend of stripped-down productions like this would die down already. Jamie Lloyd’s Romeo & Juliet was an extreme version, but this doesn’t seem like much of an improvement, to be honest.

This is why the Romeo and Juliet ballet is still my favorite stage version of this play, every version I’ve seen has been visually gorgeous. And Baz Luhrmann has definitely shown everyone how colorful a modern-day retelling of the story can be.

Regardless of what many think of Sadie Sink as an actress (I personally think she’s amazing), her theatrical career and roles have been phenomenal. She was amazing on the Broadway show *John Proctor Is the Villain* last year in 2025, earnt her a Tony nomination, and rightfully so…

I hate hate hate theatre à la Jamie Lloyd. Give me vibrant sets, give me luscious costumes, this style just reeks of college black box theatre and I’m so done with it
