So now there’s a claim that the Queen wasn’t even with Prince Philip when he died and he passed before she could say goodbye. I don’t know, this is one of those stories where it feels very emotional but also kind of convenient for a book to reveal years later. I’m starting to feel like a lot of these royal books just add details we can’t verify because no one can really confirm what happened behind closed doors.
Do you guys believe this or take it with a grain of salt?

Yes I do. There are good reasons why
It’s likely true and has always been reported this way. They had separate bedrooms and he passed while she was sleeping.
IIRC it was stated at the time that she wasn’t with him.
This has been reported before, Gyles Brandreth reported something similar about how she wasn’t able to be there since he died in the morning or something. This aligns with what he wrote in 2022.
But it’s hard to tell in royal biographies what they’re taking from other reporting or what they’ve found out independently themselves.
