Dean stole the medication from Whipps Cross Hospital, in Leytonstone, east London, where he was working as a trainee anaesthetist.

He stole cyclizine, ondansetron, propofol, midazolam and morphine between December 2018 and March 2024, the court was previously told.

It was on 14 December 2018 that Dean drove to Cambridge to meet a woman, with whom he had previously exchanged messages.

They had agreed to the use of the drugs during sex – a high-risk practice also known as chemsex, which is designed to enhance, prolong or facilitate sexual experiences.
