Interesting, the reviews I’ve been seeing are pretty mixed… I guess Rotten Tomatoes is aggregate and not quality of review

This is from hours ago, it’s on 83% and 64 on Metacritic. Reviews are actually pretty mixed.

  3. People keep mentioning a twist. I don’t know what it is but can it really be so bad it ruins the whole movie?

Made by a grown man who dates children with a shit plot twist. It’s not for me, sorry Zendaya

Eh, ten critic reviews means a very targeted pool of specific critics on the part of the studio.

I think people tend to believe bc there’s a comedic or romantic moment in a film it makes it a romcom but this film is pure drama (like the title)

I think a lot of the mixed reviews would come from people who are expecting to see something different bc they either don’t know A24 or Robert Pattinson filmography which leads me to believe it would mostly be the crowd that it’s going for Zendaya and they are used to seeing her in more lighthearted roles (with the exception of euphoria)

I wish they would wait to post these until at least 50-100 people have reviewed it. 10 is such a small sample size.

  8. I feel like one of them dies by the end of the film! It is set up to look happy and fun by the photos. But one of them is going to kill the other I bet

AP gave it one out of four stars. I haven’t been this excited to see a movie in a while

  10. Honestly brilliant for the marketing team to bank on Zendaya’s scary bad secret. Her projects often rely on some type of shock marketing now that I’m thinking about. Challengers and The Drama are the best examples.
