Sources revealed on Monday that the pair would not join the Royal Family for the traditional Easter service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor on Sunday, but they said they would be seen at future family celebrations. Now it appears the King has asked them to attend Royal Ascot in June, the Sun reports.

The five-day racing event could see Beatrice and Eugenie appar in the official carriage procession and join senior royals in the exclusive Royal Enclosure.

Their husbands, Edo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, are set to join them if they do attend.

Sources close to the King say he remains fond of his nieces, who he permitted to retain their royal titles when their parents were stripped of them last year.

One insider told the publication: “All the signs are they’re not being judged on the sins of the parents.”
