Like 50 Cent answered the question perfectly on who pays on the first date: Whoever's idea it was to go on a date. The wedding depends heavily on the income of that person imho because you could easily say BYOB like always or say "I'll have a bar to raise at least a little money back we spent on the wedding" or something like that.
