  1. That t-shirt she wore at the airport that said ‘I support men’s right to shut the fuck up’ now makes sense. They should shut the fuck up for real.

Smile, suck it in, toot it out, shoulders back, chin up, neck straight, walk lightly, speak kindly, be charming, cross your legs, relax your hands, don’t be slutty, be sultry, don’t be dim, don’t make men feel dumb, you’re bossy, don’t be a bitch.

    FUCK PATRIARCHY!

That is the kind of comment actors never forget. Wild that some people in this industry still think talking to women like that is normal.

i really like lili and hope she has a long career, if that’s what she wants. i think she is a good role model (not that she has to be one), and i love that she keeps speaking up.

the fact that she gave that man the benefit of the doubt too , saying he was probably just warning her of an unflattering angle and the other girls said he should, rightfully, FIND ANOTHER ANGLE TO SHOOT. She is gorgeous and women should not be conditioned to make allowances for men’s indiscretions.

and let’s see what that man look like, eh? they’ve always got so much to say & no qualifications.

She looks amazing. These directors in hollywood are the reason women have have body image issues. Margot Robbie said she was told she was too fat to play Jane by the director of the movie Tarzan in 2016. Margot Robbie said she refused to give in didnt go on diet for the producers. Kate Beckinsale said back in 2001 on the set of Pearl Harbor the director told her she was too fat to work in Hollywood. Insanity. How thin do they want these poor actresses

I know this isn’t the point, but the additional layer of irony here is that even under the male gaze no man I know would give a shit about this. He went out of his way to exert power and humiliate her over something 99.999% of heterosexual men would have still found hot as shit, so even any deniability he has about an “unflattering angle” is nonsense.

This is fucking insane to me. This woman is perfection and always has been. She is literally my body goals… some people just deserve a good pop in the mouth when they say things like that. Especially when they’re lies on top of being cruel and unnecessary.

I’m reading Butter by Asako Yuzuki, (published in 2015ish and translated into English for the UK paperback market – relevant context), and it seems like it’s common, at least in Tokyo in the last decade, for male colleagues, friends’ husbands, etc. to openly give “professional advice” (unsolicited) on how much a female colleague should weigh or not weigh.  No idea how realistic it is or was but it’s bumming me out

  12. Some men really do hate seeing a successful woman so they try their best to demean her. It’s pathetic.
