I’ve collected some of his prints. I also wrote my dissertation on him. He’s interesting because the main body of his work was created when he was institutionalised. They believed he had schizophrenia, but it’s hard to know for sure.

My great aunt was a nurse from the 1950s through the 1990s. I have a wooden pen rest of hers that has the progression of his art from literal to extremely abstract.
It was an advertisement for Thorazine.
