Coleen Rooney is making sure her 40th birthday is one to remember. The wife of former footballer, Wayne Rooney, is celebrating the milestone this Easter weekend at her £20 million mansion in Cheshire, which was packed full of guests on Friday, who celebrated with the Scouser in style.
A whole hosts of WAGs were on the guest list, who enjoyed all the Rooneys had to offer as a huge marquee and gold ’40’ sign were seen being erected on the lavish lawn of Coleen’s palatial pad.
Speaking to The Mirror, ahead of the Good Friday bash, which was attended by 50 of Coleen’s closest pals, a friend of the mum-of-four said she loves to party and will be up dancing during the celebrations. “Coleen parties like a good northern lass,” they said. ‘She’s a very normal girl at the end of the day – she just likes a good time and having fun. It will be epic.”
Meanwhile, Coleen said: “I’m looking forward to it, I love a birthday and a celebration. I have decided to enjoy a couple of different celebrations with family and friends over the year, and with my birthday falling over Easter weekend, some friends are away — so any opportunity to extend the celebrations…”

Wayne’s footballer pals, including Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher, were all on the guest list for the huge bash, along with Coleen’s WAG pals including Annie Kilner and Abbey Clancy. Among the stars who also pulled up to the mansion for the party on Friday were English former footballer Phil Jones and his wife Kaya Hall.
Meanwhile, fellow WAG and pal Tanya Bardsley, 44, showed off her new hair extensions on her Instagram Stories ahead of the swanky bash. She also posted a tribute to Coleen, which read: “Happy birthday to this gorgeous icon, can’t wait to celebrate with you later.”

Helicopter arrival
Irish former footballer Darron Gibson was joined by another guest in a black car as he arrived for the party, while Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy was also seen at the bash.
And one A-lister made quite the arrival, with a helicopter spotted landing at Coleen and Wayne’s £20million Cheshire home.

Hundreds of bottles of champagne
Coleen reportedly had hundreds of bottles of champagne on ice for the bank holiday weekend marking her milestone day.
Caterers and staff will no doubt have kept the party running like clockwork, with insiders saying no expense has been spared for the birthday girl.

What the birthday girl wore
Coleen can be seen in one rare snap from the bash, looking gorgeous in a floor-length lilac frock as she greeted guests, Annie Kilner and Kaya Hall at the entrance to the marquee.
Rocking a small silver clutch bag, with her hair in an elegant up do, the I’m A Celebrity star oozed glamour as she celebrated her special day in style.
Pastel colour theme
Complimenting her lilac dress, Coleen chose a pastel colour theme for the festivities, with a pink and white balloons decorating the marquee along with a gorgeous pink flower display.
The lighting was very complimentary as the guests mingled excitedly, all armed with gifts for their host.

While the women at the bash looked suitably elegant, one of Coleen’s guests cut a much more casual figure and decided to sport a pair of black and white Adidas trainers for the A-list do.
A-list performer
Coleen’s husband, Wayne, pulled out all the stops for his childhood sweetheart on her big day, including, reportedly, arranging for a huge star to perform.
While its unclear who would be performing it had been claimed ‘no expense has been spared’ on the ‘Mariah Carey level singer’ and speculation was rife that Westlife had been booked to perform.

Wayne on the mic
As well as organising a surprise performance from a mega star, Wayne was also reportedly keen to regale guests with a couple of tunes.
Speaking to The Sun ahead of the bash, a source said: “Coleen loves a good knees-up. She can afford a lovely lifestyle and everything at the party will be classy and beautifully done. But for her, plenty of booze, good music and her family is all she will want.
“There’s going to be live music and you can guarantee Wayne will be getting up on the microphone. He loves to sing and will be keen to give everyone a tune or two.”

Phone ban
Not only will security be tight, but guests who do attend have been put on a strict phone ban. “She wants to have a good time without anyone filming anything like Wayne falling on the dance floor or being drunk,” a source told the Mirror.
“It’s going be very high protection when it comes to this. It’s a private party. There’s no one that can party like Coleen.”
Banned from the bash!
Of course, the guest list is made up of a number of famous faces – but there’ll be a few people not receiving an invite to Coleen’s special day. The Vardys – Rebekah and her husband Jamie – will unsurprisingly not be in attendance, given the Vardys and Rooneys’ lengthy Wagatha Christie court case.
“He wants Rio Ferdinand there, if he can get over from Portugal. There are a few players that might not be able to make it, but it is going to be full of people that have been there for them: old football teammates, friends in football, family members and close friends,” our source tells us. “But certainly the Vardys won’t be invited and there will be a heavy security presence.”
