Prince Harry, joined by his family, opted for a snowy mountain getaway for their Easter vacation. Their destination was Canada, a country he knows well since he lived there briefly with Meghan Markle and their eldest son before settling permanently in California. The British royal returned there in recent days with his wife and their two children, but they were not alone. Prince William’s younger brother also spent part of his downtime with Justin Trudeau and Eileen Gu, as Gu herself revealed in a photo that has been getting a lot of attention.

The image shows King Charles III’s younger son alongside the former Canadian prime minister and the Olympic medalist, all three smiling broadly for the camera. Riding a chairlift up the mountain, they were fully equipped with ski poles and goggles. Naturally, there is no one better than the decorated athlete to offer tips on how to descend safely and handle the winding slopes. Someone else who has shown plenty of ease and confidence this week is young Archie, as his proud mother shared in a video yesterday.

Harry and Eileen’s little-known friendship

Gu, fresh off her success at the recent Milan Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Games in Italy, was the one who posted the snapshot of the trio on social media. The image surprised many, since it was not widely known that she had any kind of friendship with the Duke of Sussex, but judging by the photo, they seem to get along very well. What was already public knowledge, however, is the close and friendly relationship between Kate Middleton’s brother in law and Trudeau, as the two have crossed paths on multiple occasions at different events.

The bond between the politician and the prince goes back years, with the former consistently supporting the Invictus Games being held on Canadian soil, such as in Toronto in 2017 and later in Vancouver in 2025. The international competition for military veterans is Prince Harry’s signature project, one he is deeply committed to and takes particular pride in.

Back in 2020, Justin also welcomed the wayward Windsor to Canada when Harry and Meghan left the United Kingdom and stepped down from their royal duties.

Katy Perry, with them

Returning to these early April days off, Katy Perry also appears in another photo Eileen Gu shared from her personal album, which also features Gu’s mother, Yan Gu. As is well known, the American singer has been romantically involved with the former prime minister since last summer, after her split from actor Orlando Bloom, known for Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lord of the Rings, the father of her daughter Daisy.

The pop star confirmed in late October, around her forty-first birthday, that she was in love again, choosing Paris for her first public appearance with Trudeau. That day, amid intense buzz, the two walked hand in hand into a landmark restaurant in the French capital while a swarm of photographers captured the moment. Since then, they have been inseparable, continuing to show that their romance is not just a passing fling.

The singer of major hits like Roar and I Kissed a Girl now attends official events alongside Justin, including the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland, this past January. Although we had already seen her in Japan on an earlier trip with a style reminiscent of a first lady, her appearance in Switzerland cemented her role as a key source of support for the man who served as Canada’s prime minister for a decade.
