Fun to watch. It would be interesting to see what shades he would have picked out for you. I am 70+, light cool tone skin. For every day, I use Lumene CC cream and I do put it under my eyes. I have such purple under my eyes. The CC cream is great for color correcting my rosacea and color on the eye lid and outer half of the under eye. Then use color correction and concealer on the inner half of the under eye.
You did great! Selena is so beautiful, but so are you. I love that lipstick, but whenever I get the same color it's never as dark as it looks on Selena – and I want it to look like hers but it just doesn't.
I use the Tarte primer mascara under ANY mascara and it makes them AMAZING and doesn’t go panda 🐼 on me by 2pm!! Total game changer for me (54….drum sensitive, with short, straight lashes!)

The “backwards brush” technique on brows is my favorite. It’s pretty idiot proof, which I need. Also, the older I get, the better lighter brows look on me. I have light skin, dark brown hair and black brows. Just lightening them 1 shade takes 5 years off my face. Using brown mascara helps too.

I actually liked your finished look better, in particular the eye pencil wing and the lip color, were both more flattering on you. SG lip was too dark IMO.

It looks like Selena has long lashes. I notice he didn't use a lash curler, which is a must for me. Interesting techniques, though!

As a dark brunette with a good amount of brow, I was skeptical about the taupe eyebrow pencil, but it looks fantastic. Beautiful and soft! I am definitely trying it! ❤
Great video! I love the look on you! Usually I don’t want a matte foundation, but this one is pretty. I especially like the powder bronzer for some summer color. Will try to find a less expensive brush for it.

Selena’s foundation looks too light for her. Honestly, even though she is younger- her face almost looks filtered; even women in their 20s have texture and some lines. I do appreciate the light hand he uses for makeup application. ❤

One thing that struck me is that he didn’t seemingly do anything super unusual, and the make up application actually seemed like pretty “standard” so I think sometimes it comes down to just being an expert artist and having that kind of control amd dexterity in your ability to make those super precise lines and things like that.

I’ve liked most of the Rare Beauty products I’ve tried. This was a good example of different face shapes and colors using the same technique. Will definitely try the bouncy blush and new foundation. At 62 I’m still very oily ( especially in the humid summer.) I won’t give up powder either.

Somebody tell me why not apply foundation under the eyes??? I feel it looks way better than concealer, which makes my under eye skin look like reptile skin after about four hours.

You look beautiful as always. I love her products even on mature skin. I would have to pack on a ton of foundation to cover my sun damage, I have reddish/ brown freckles on my nose and cheeks. I do better with a tinted moisturizer and diffuse rather than try to cover. Her products are super soft looking and easy to blend.
