I just don't understand why she had to invoke Beyoncé's name. She could have told this story about Rodney without mentioning her name; it just brings more drama. Beyoncé isn't thinking about nor mentioning Brandy.
So when is the book club KEMP!? I finished the book over the weekend!
I just purchased the book and this will be my next read! So much is spiraling from this book release but I’m hearing it was a good read so I’m excited to read it soon!
It all makes sense now. Brandi is a victim of industry, vultures just like Britney. Brandi was taking advantage of in the industry and was shamed into insecurity and silence. For dark child to come out, and say this? There would be no dark child Beyoncé collab without a Brandi. And I love love Monica, but clearly she was also swooped into the marginalize Brandy mess. I’m so proud of Brandi for coming out. Something never seemed right such a talent, but yet shamed into a corner all because the vultures around her had something to hide.
People noticed that Beyoncé didn’t take pics with Brandy when she came to see her and Monica on the tour. So Brandy is revealing some context about why there could be a strain. I think it’s fine. It’s her story. I am a fan of both women and their music.
Brandi has kept quiet all these years keeping industry, secrets, and now that she’s finally speaking out as a grown woman. The only thing people can do is disrespect her because they can’t silence her or gaslight her into thinking she’s the crazy one.
People will do and sell anything for money, why would I pay my hard earned money for Brandy or anyone else’s “story”….and why do you want strangers to know your “story”.
Brandy is the definition of a black woman being abused i do t care what anyone says she is… POWERFUL AND NO ONE CAN TAKE IT FROM HER. GOD HAS HER BACK!

That Wendy segment was dropping real gems. There still seems like unresolved tension between Brandy and Beyoncé which oddly enough started over Kelly Rowland. Brandy and Kelly used to be really close back in the early/mid 2000’s. Apparently Brandy told Kelly in confidence that she should distance herself from the Knowles camp and fire Matthew as her solo manager because he wasn’t ever going to prioritizing her career over Beyoncé’s. Somehow that word got back to Beyonce and she took it personal. Even though Brandy had a valid point-if Kelly had heeded her career may be further along. I think it was all blown out of proportion and should have just been kept in confidence. That dark child situation just aggravated an already existing wound.

I never liked brandy from she bullied Aaliyah and passed nasty remarks about Jamaica but actually Aaliyah paved the way for all of them and she stole Aaliyah’s sound let me shut up 🤐
