It’s hard finding legitimate acts to preform when you’re pandering to the right. Who the fuck wants their name attached to MAGA

    2. This feels like the gen x/millennial version of what’s happened with the beach boys

Brew Ha Ha also ran Punk In The Park which was a mistake to attend… but I really wanted to see Dead To Me

Wait. *April 26 1992, there was a riot on the streets tell me where were you* sublime?

Who woulda ever imaged in the 90s sublime would be playing at a trump golf course.. kicked out i could believe.

The band famous for a song about looting during the Rodney King riots in 1992 is now MAGA-aligned? WTF?

*“… you live long enough to see yourself become the villain…”*

It’s interesting that this band has leaned right after all these years. It seems like the least on brand thing I’ve ever heard.

    8. I’m still confused exactly how Sublime or their previously festival branding is “MAGA-aligned.” An article yesterday provided no info whatsoever. This one says one time they played a show at a Trump-owned golf course….ok, and?

Smoking weed, speaking Spanish, stealing things during a riot = MAGA aligned? I know Bradley’s been gone for 30 years and his son now fronts the band but yikes.

So Interrupters are right wing too right? I know Aimee is, or at least rightwing adjacent. I would love to be told I’m wrong and I will rescind my comment.

    11. Lmao this article is using random Reddit comments as sources and thinks Sublime is MaGA aligned because they played at a trump golf course over a year ago.

Bradley’s son is the lead singer now, btw

    12. I don’t think you could pay me to go to this festival. That was before any MAGA coded allegations.

    13. You know what, I’m going to bask in this a little. I have hated sublime’s music since I first heard them. And now this. It feels like my day has finally come

I want to point out first that I am far left-of-center in politics and despise what Trump, MAGA, and it’s supporters have done, and are doing, to this country.

That being said, Sublime played at a LIV Tour Golf Tournament that was held at a Trump golf course. Sure, we could argue whether or not they should have played there if they are anti-Trump (assuming they even knew when they agreed to perform).

However, this is not really evidence that they are pro-MAGA. I would need something more substantial before branding them as pro-Trump.

I wouldn’t go see the show regardless…this Sublime is just a shadow of one of the greatest bands that almost was…

Ensenada is one of the shittiest songs I’ve ever heard. That garbage turns me into the fastest hands in the west trying to change the radio station.

    16. Gross Sublime selling out. MAGA doesn’t deserve the old goodness, hope they play new shit

I’m more surprised that The Interrupters are still signed on to play Portland….. thought they’d have dropped out and set up another gig by now. Pretty disappointing.
