Did you know this about Wrath of the Titans?

1. Bill Nighy, who plays Hephaestus, when recognizing Perseus, says “Release the Kraken”. Nighy of course plays “Davy Jones” in Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest and says that exact same line.
2. Gemma Arterton was originally supposed to return after her role in Clash of the Titans, but scheduling conflicts with Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters prevented that. Her character was written out, rather than being re-cast, as Andromeda was.
3. Some of the contenders for the recast of Andromeda were Hayley Atwell, Georgina Haig, and Janet Montgomery, before ultimately going to Rosamund Pike. In preparation for filming, Rosamund was instructed by director Jonathan Liebesman to study Mel Gibson’s William Wallace in Braveheart.
