Musk first became a father in 2002 when his ex-wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, welcomed their son, Nevada Alexander, who tragically died at 10 weeks old. The two went on to have five more children: twins Vivian and Griffin, and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian.
In 2020, two years after Musk and singer Grimes were first linked, the two announced they welcomed their first child, X Æ A-12, together. The former couple share two more children, daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, and son Techno Mechanicus. A few weeks before the arrival of their second child, the tech CEO also secretly fathered Strider and Azure with Zilis, an executive at one of his companies, Neuralink, in November 2021, according to court documents published by Business Insider. The pair then welcomed daughter Arcadia in February 2024.
In February 2025, Ashley St. Clair revealed that she and Musk had welcomed a child, whose name was later revealed to be Romulus. Zilis then announced that she and Musk had secretly welcomed their fourth child together, son Seldon Lycurgus, though it’s unclear when.
Elsewhere in Cosmopolitan interview, Vivian reflected on her life growing up with money. She described it as a “very strange experience” that was “very isolating,” noting that the upper class has a lot of their own private things, such as schools and social circles.
“I have unlearned a huge amount, but even as a child, I was like, ‘This is a bit gauche,’ ” she continued. “I remember being very young and seeing homelessness and feeling sick to my stomach. People would get on me for being like a dramatic little child. But no, I was right to be a dramatic little s–t about that.”

During the conversation, she acknowledged that she grew up as a “rich kid” and shared that she saw firsthand how money can change people.
“Absolutely yes. I have seen that s–t firsthand,” she said. “It will change you, and the desire for power corrupts people from within.”
“It is cartoonish,” Vivian added. “Achieving that and wanting more is a never-ending cycle of greed and gluttony, where nothing is enough and you kind of go insane. It turns you into someone different, which is honestly one of my biggest fears.”
