David Duchovny’s new movie Soapbox will feature a couple of familiar faces from the soap world.
The film focuses on Duchovny’s character, a washed-up soap star trying to navigate the culture wars that have taken over the industry. As Parade reported, Duchovny was unrecognizable as he was spotted dressed in drag while filming the indie movie in Los Angeles last week.

It turns out Soapbox is leaning into the real-life soap world. Beloved All My Children alum Vincent Irizarry (David) is playing the role of Nikkos in the film alongside Duchovny.
The soap star shared a carousel of photos on Instagram to announce his exciting new project. Irizarry’s post featured on-set photos with several of his co-stars, including one that revealed Days of Our Lives alum Christopher Sean (Paul) is in the flick.
“It’s been a crazy, wild, fun several weeks shooting the comedic film ‘Soapbox’ opposite @davidduchovny,” the actor began his caption.
After thanking several people involved in the movie, Irizarry teased his latest project further. “I guarantee, you’ve never seen David quite like this before! Take that from someone who got to see him up close and personal, (I’m embarrassed to say, a little more so than I ever would’ve imagined 🫣). Check it out once it’s released. It promises to entertain you, for sure.”
Several stars from the soap world popped up in the comments to gush over Irizarry’s new gig. General Hospital stars Finola Hughes (Anna) and Cameron Mathison(Drew) as well as Days of Our Lives’ Galen Gering (Rafe) jumped into the comments section to let Irizarry know they can’t wait to see Soapbox.

Irizarry and Sean aren’t the only soap stars in the movie, either.General Hospitalstar Laura Wright (Carly) revealed on X that she, too, has a cameo in the film.
“Someone else may have a cameo in this movie as well 😜😜🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️,” she teased on X.
Duchovny not only stars in Soapbox but also co-wrote it with his co-star, Laverne Cox. Randall Park from Fresh Off the Boat, Westworld’s Jimmi Simpson, and Jennifer Grey of Dirty Dancing fame are also in the movie, which is filming now.
