A former BBC Wales producer has been found guilty of possessing or making more than 6,200 indecent images of children.

Dylan Dawes, 50, had been downloading the images over a 16-year period, using a hard drive, a compact laptop and two iPads.

His catalogue of images also included 192 of the most serious kind – classed as category A, the most serious.

The four-day trial at Cardiff Crown Court heard Dawes searched the term “jailbait” in Google, and all of the indecent images were saved in a file named, “Dylan Account” on his computer.

He was found guilty on all six charges.
