I love the Wet Hot American Summer series of movies and TV shows. It's in my top 10 of all time for me. So different. So funny.
She's 52 somehow. What.
In the TV show version that they made a decade later, they use the fact that she seems to be the only one who hasn't aged since the movie.
I remember seeing something on E! about Wet Hot American Summer being filmed or premiering at Sundance and was excited because I loved The State. It didn’t play anywhere near me, but I was working at Blockbuster when it finally came out on dvd and was able to bring it home and watch it a week before it’s home media release. It’s been my favorite comedy ever since and knowing/loving this movie became a litmus test for anyone new I’d meet for years.
I love this movie!! Also Banks looks fantastic

One of the reasons why I didn't like wet Hot American Summer the first time I saw it was that I would always catch it in the middle because they used to replay it a lot on comedy Central. Another reason is that I thought it was a regular comedy movie but it's really a parody of a comedy movie. The movie also jumps around between multiple characters and when that's interspersed with commercials it was just too much for me to maintain interest. Another thing is that I never saw the original meatballs movie, for whatever reason that never got shown on HBO or the basic cable channels I had. But I saw meatballs 2 movie over a thousand times against my will because nothing else was on. So maybe that's soured me to summer camp movies.
