I LOVE Fred’s humor. He’s totally the kind of guy I crushed on when I was a middle school student. He’s so funny and nerdy at the same time. I totally would’ve believed him.
Ah. The art of bullshitting. Say it with confidence and very few people will question your "knowledge" of any topic…until they pull out their phones to confirm.
A mere minute is insufficient to thoroughly convey the rich history of the Alaskan Pipeline. To pick up where Fred left off, Mexico was reeling from the Great Guac Shortage of 1952, and in an effort to prevent economic freefall, agreed to lease Canada land for their refineries. There was one big hurdle though. Canada needed to get the oil to Mexico, and while horse and carriage was deemed the least costly mode of transport, doing so would have compromised the potency of its main active compound, ammonium thioglycolate. It was instead transported by sea (the Titanic had not yet been configured for passenger use and was chosen due to its large freight capacity). The colossal ship, loaded with 12 billion metric tons of Siberian oil, left the port of Juneau on March 12th 1962 headed for the rolling hills of the eastern Yuccatan in what is now Cancun, and as they say, the rest is history.

Leaving us hanging just as Mexico gets on the scene is mean …totally would watch another episode for the rest of the story

I love that our state is such a mystery. Well said, Fred. That man is a Lower-48 treasure:) But… Straight to yail, straight away!
I was totally convinced that was completely accurate.

I adore him
The 1951 solidified it for me!
Fred tells me Alaska doesn't have refineries because of WWII, and even though I know it's bullsht, I feel compelled to believe him.
I trust him😂
Thank you, Mexico.
My broken brain was expecting a different topic 🫥
If you take out the laughter there are countless GQP Alaskans that would believe this.
Improving fools. Love them! 😂❤
Im not going to look it up, I'm just going to move through life convinced Fred just knew all that shit. Tl
The old question-answer of that question 😅
😂😂😂
Fred literally just did an impersonation of every US politician 😂
Sounds like the BS we are all spoon fed.
Yall laugh all you want but everything he said was actually true.
