  1. “Maybe also just stop sending death threats in general. That’s just not cool. Kinda weird I have to say this.”

Knowing nothing about this kid but this post, I dig him.

  2. It’s terrifying that someone was able to find the information of so many teenage girls. It also means they know (at least roughly) where this guy lives. Yikes on many levels.

  3. Unplug the whole ass internet for the world already, Jesus. What are we even doing anymore..

This is why I hate it when people say ‘you should accept attention you get when you’re famous.’

This is not normal! Famous people shouldn’t have to deal with this crap. These poor girls did nothing wrong and they’re being sent death threats but overzealous fans. And for what? Why? I have never understood this behavior; it’s not going to get them what they want.

And people wonder why celebrities don’t post their lives anymore this is one of the many reasons why. Also he’s a child why are people so invested in a child’s life in the first place???

Yiiiiiikes. This is so awful for him (and of course those girls).

I’m a teacher and there’s a kid (teenager) at my school who is an actor. He’s been in things I would imagine most people posting here have seen or at the very least heard of, but he’s about to get even more well-known because he’s a new addition to a very popular and well-established show. Legit worried about what kind of shit is going to happen once the new season comes out. There are already some weird things about him online because his other work is in some very dedicated and obsessive fan bases… He’s a fantastic kid and his family is doing their damndest to keep him grounded. I’m gonna lose my mind the first time I see some garbage like this.

It’s beyond not cool. It’s sick and disgusting and these people need to be held accountable and fixed. (Not judging him for saying it, I can see why he probably tried to downplay it to ease tension)

There’s one account on insta and TikTok that sparked this. Literally naming that they were gonna camp out the prom and premiere if he has a girlfriend/goes to prom with someone. Awful person.

you know his publicist proofread this bc it’s way too calm about what these psychos are doing to him

I get that kids can be stupid but this level of parasocial toxicity just can’t be healthy for anyone.

  11. And people wonder why celebs very often don’t like to share anything about their private lives. This is a 17 year old CHILD and people are sending actual death threats over prom?????

  12. Ah yes, so good to know teenagers online are still being exceedingly levelheaded. Not sure why anyone’s surprised; it’s not like anyone’s setting a good example for em

What the hell? Who sends death threats to random people, especially teens?

I had no idea the Percy Jackson fandom was getting to this level of weird and parasocial. I’m guessing (hoping?) the fandom for the show is mostly made up of teens, but that’s still terrible behaviour.

Also, I know that these kind of people and behaviours have been around in fandoms for a long time (Remember One Direction and Justin Bieber?) but it feels like now I’m  hearing about a new situation in a new fandom every second day 🫠

  14. the wildest part is he is the only one acting NORMAL. WHY THE F are grown adults terrorizing teenage girls over a celebrity prom date that was never happening anyway

  15. Tiny_Animal9496 on

This generation is gonna learn things real fast when they hit adulthood- and not in a good way. 🤨

Now excuse me as I go sit out on the front yawn and yell at children. /old

Im sure some of these people are grown ass middle aged adults which is even creepier

  17. Geeze when I was young and I saw the New Kids on the Block with girls I just cried and hugged my Tiger Beat magazine.

  18. I feel bad for his future partners.

Getting flashbacks from the 1D era and the way their gfs were getting harassed.

We need to teach kids and teens about what parasocial relationships are and why it’s bad
