Fact that a one wear diamond ring stone is loose & lost… makers need to do better. Shouldn't be loosing your stones or diamonds when wearing a ring for first time… come on now!
Had to look this up! The ring was a vintage Van Cleef and Arpels onyx and diamond ring on loan from Joseph Saidian and Sons. They said they could easily repair the ring. But I agree with a lot of the comments here that the ring should have been in better repair before it was loaned to Taylor. It was a $12,000 ring so monetarily she could have reimbursed them, but being a vintage piece from a renowned maker, Saidian said old settings can become loose with the clapping and dancing that happens at award shows. The company never commented on why they loaned it out without checking the setting. They must have cleaned it before sending it to her. It just doesn't make any sense.
