    Love this! It’s the reason Donald Sutherland was so drawn to the role of President Snow: “It just puts things out in the light and lets you have a look at it. And if you take from it what I hope you will take from it, it will make you think a little more pungently about the political environment you live in and not be complacent.”

    When asked what The Hunger Games was supposed to do he replied, “It is supposed to mobilize young people to change this dreadful world that older people like me have created.”

  3. Hunger Games is a fantastic way to introduce my kids to themes of propaganda and fascism. I reference it when we discuss things often.
