What he *actually* said was that there should be *one* flight offered without babies.

  2. Angry1980Christmas on

He’s saying they should offer a service without babies. That’s fine. He’s not saying babies shouldn’t exist. Calm down.

  3. As someone who has flown with a 1 year old mulitple times I support it. Then if someone is bothered enough to actually say something about a baby (which has never happened to me), you can just say “should have paid for the baby free flight”

Having suffered through a cross-country red-eye flight with a wailing baby, I can’t say I hate the idea

  5. As someone who’s gone on multiple, necessary, international flights with my own babies: let there be one flight if it’ll stop people from complaining. Hell, make it two. Someone should found an airline that prohibits babies. But no one will cause who’s that much of a misanthrope??

But I’d still buy a ticket haha

The hurt feelings are so funny to me. Some people really don’t do well with noise, this would be a perfect solution.

i’ll never get (that) angry at a child for kicking seats and misbehaving but I WILL get angry at a parent who refuses to get them in line. don’t make a stranger yell at your child, what are we doing here lol

I watched all of Big Mistakes while recovering from wisdom tooth surgery and it was fantastic!! Couldn’t recommend more!! Dan Levy is hilarious and I hope he does a zillion more projects (if he wants to)

Airlines will charge extra to be the parent with baby on the flight AND extra to be on the no baby flight
    Edit: emphasis on ‘and’

His smile at the very very end is just a split second flash of his dad.

  11. i would one million percent choose a “kid friendly” flight if they offered them. it would hopefully be filled with people that can tolerate it fine and you also wouldn’t experience as much judgement.

  12. i agree! he’s just saying one flight offered (likely extra charge) for adults/decently old kids (5+) would be great. he’s not saying ban babies from public spaces

  13. Babies aren’t even that bad. I’ve noticed some cultures will NOT tell their 5-9 year old age range children to settle down, stop kicking the seats, use headphones, or clean up after themselves.

I’m sure people who make their children their entire identity will be totally normal about this.

The way she flops that microphone around for him to chase with his face is so irritating to me lmao

Girl, steady the microphone if you’re interviewing someone. He shouldn’t be trying to follow the mic like that, it was so distracting

He’s adorable. Also, I think there should be an area of every event with no babies/kids. Over it. Respectfully.

Parents are so annoying. He didn’t say that babies can’t exists or fly, he said he wishes there was a flight option with no babies… I miss the day when I could go to breweries and pubs without babies screaming and kids running around. I love kids by the way, I just don’t understand this new obsession with parents needing to bring their kids everywhere… Our friends got mad because a new bar opened and it was child free.. Our town has 2 child free places, that is it. You can take them everywhere else, let us have something.

  19. As someone who had to sit next to a parent with their baby on their lap in a crowded, 10 hour flight, BOTH WAYS, I support this.

And let me be very clear, I feel really bad for parents. With how much airlines keep smushing seats together, it’s just not feasible for 3 people to sit in those seats PLUS a baby.

As a parent, I literally don’t blame him. Make baby-free flights for people who don’t want to be stuck in a metal tube in the sky with a wailing baby AND make flights specifically for people travelling with babies/small children so we don’t have to deal with the stress of disturbing the rest of the plane on top of the baseline stress of travelling with kids. Win-win as far as I’m concerned

My husband and I flew with our 7 month old twice in the past month. Fortunately, he’s a really easygoing kid, but it’s a lot of work to keep a child that young calm. Worth it, because people are much kinder and accommodating when it shows that you’re an active parent with a happy child, but a lot of work. Parents should not let their kids run amok on planes.

  22. helloworlditisme261 on

Omg yes please! I would pay extra to not be around any crying children on a flight lol

  23. Was just on a 9 hour flight where the baby was completely silent but the mom of said baby decided to walk around the plane and pause in front of the bathroom for 5 minutes at a time… she had to be repeatedly told loudly by the flight attendants to sit down. It was the most bizarre and disruptive experience to witness and hear- over and over again. Her husband repeatedly apologized to people and continued to just plead with her to let him have the baby as he came onto the flight with the baby. The plane was also very empty so it was super obvious.

At one point she would stop in front of people so she could show off the baby… I was like what is happening 😳

  24. i mean as a parent, a parent whos kids literally make my world go round.. i get it lol.

mine are 9 & 6 now but with then being so much older now, hell my ears even burn when i hear a baby cry lmao. i dont wanna hear all that sometimes🤣

I enjoy this curmudgeonly neurotic gay man, very comfortable vibe.
I look forward to more of his work😌

Wait.. someone had the AUDACITY to suggest providing options?! I hope you notified the authorities!

You’re gonna get through this, OP. Promise.

  27. emptyheadeddumbfuck on

I feel like adults on flights are 10x more annoying than babies ever are. Like there are many things that occur on flights that will annoy someone or irk someone that’s part of life and being outside in the world grow up

  28. As someone who just landed at the airport on a plane with about a dozen screaming babies, I second this

  29. As someone who had to sit directly in front of a screaming toddler for 5 hours, while battling a migraine, I support this.

  30. i kind of feel like it would be rad of restaurants to have family zones as well. especially more upscale restaurants. I just don’t think its that rude to want to have certain spaces where you’re semi-assured a level of quiet.

  31. i literally said this to my husband after being stuck on the plane with a crying baby for hourssssssssssssss

i will pay a fee, whatever, just get me a flight without children. i get it, parents gotta get out. awesome, good for them. this is not a dig at these parents; it’s part of raising a child. however, i’d like an option to avoid the cries of a child screaming for multiple hours nonstop on a flight.
