Why is this giving “oh you thought this was a rabbit????”

She has perspective of someone young but her great great grandmother was 63 when she died so today still not so old but at that time it was pretty advanced age. Older people or ill people are much less tied down to idea to live at any costs. Because frankly speaking living with age become less fun, not just because of aging or ilness but also because less things are new, fresh or interesting like for young people. If you have 40 times holidays you can’t be the same excited like kid.
So idea that you would have to continue living after such tragedy but also kind remorse and maybe even public shame not necessary had to look good for such woman. And she actually did at the end big good deed giving someone younger and less fortunate survive. She probably died in peace. Older people have similar thinking like in Robbie Williams Feel: “I don’t wanna die But I ain’t keen on living either”.
I think about this couple and the woman (actually I think multiple) who chose to die with their dogs. If the titanic exhibit ever comes to your city I highly recommend it and then go dow 87 different titanic documentary and Reddit sub rabbit holes for all the hauntingly tragic stories

Maybe my humour level is low with the state of the world, but to be so blase and apathetic around the death of your family in a huge global tragic event is in bad taste? 😑
Interesting enough, Stockton Rush’s (the Titan sub guy) wife was also related to Isidor and Ida Strauss. This person must be related to them as well. Another interesting fact: Isidor and Ida Strauss share their birthday Feb 6 and (obviously) their death date, April 15, 1912. I’ve always thought that fact was symbolic of their relationship.
I hadn’t thought of her in a long time but this is the second time this week, first the sombr arena tour announcement (she’s opening for some dates) and now this.
It’s depressing to see creating art become less and less accessible unless one comes from generational wealth like she does.
If I was with the person I loved, I would rather have had however long that horrific scene took to play out with them than however long I would have lived on without them. Easily.
I have total gallows humor and this still was an ugh for me. Don’t cut yourself on all that edge girl.
I cannot stand the way they are all laughing so much about nothing. It is like when you hang out with a group of friends that have an in-joke and you’re just… there, awkwardly. Audio like this is like nails on a chalkboard.
My grandfather was believed to have had tickets for the Titanic, but luckily got to New York 1 month earlier and maybe took his time driving back to Texas. You can bet he thanked his lucky stars and kissed his Chevy 490 that they didn’t go down on the Titanic or I never would have been born. Those were her great-great grandparents, so her great-grandparents had already been born. My grandfather would have been 2nd class and most definitely lost his life as a single male. The reason why my generation is compressed is because my grandfather was an old daddy who married at 50.
The faces she makes in this are hilarious lol
They must have loved one another very much. My husband would have to knock me upside the head and bodily heave me into a boat. I couldn’t ever imagine voluntarily leaving him behind to die. There’s no way on this green earth.
Who’s king princess?
Titanic movie showed this
Isidor Strauss didn’t want to get in a life boat before other women and children. So Ida followed suit and stayed with her husband. Her asking why they just didn’t get on a boat shows she really doesn’t understand the history of that night. A few people saw them sitting on a bench together before the ship slipped under.
There was no evidence that the Strauses were in their bed when they died. How could there be? They were last seen on the deck before the ship sunk. Isidor’s body was recovered from the water and he was wearing a life jacket.
I get that they are young and I get that there is the whole humour = tragedy + time, but like, that is a beautiful story about their one ancestor laying down his life in service of others and about their other ancestor choosing to be by his side in death. I do not understand this need to always be joking and trying hard to seem cool or blasé.
Also, not to be all CLASS WARFARE on main, but it is very telling that their ancestors who actually had humble origins before making their money would do that and their privileged ass would not.
Edit: wrong pronouns
WTF sort of name is King Princess and who is this person?
Who or what is a king princess?
The constant pausing waiting for the laughter is annoying af. All the snickering over nothing.

learn punctuation for God’s sake
Maybe I’m just far too empathetic (and this I have been told) but I don’t really find this funny and think we need to normalise being sincere sometimes

My great-great-great uncle was on the Titanic. His name was Bill Barrows. He fell in love with a woman and proposed to her, but she turned him down and he decided to get a job at sea. But the ship was the Titanic. He was a steward and went down with the ship. I still have the ring he proposed with. We had some letters he sent from the ship and the telegram reporting him lost at sea, but ended up selling them at auction. I used my half of the proceeds to put a deposit down on a house – so I have uncle Bill to thank for that.
Sometimes I wish the normal people got as much attention as the rich and famous ones!
Who are these hosts? Why so giggly and goofy while someone talks about their relatives dying on the Titanic? They don’t seem to understand her words.
