    1. My mom has gone from “I’m voting Trump because he’s the lesser of two evils” to “I would rather be shot than vote for either of them” and I genuinely don’t understand any of her reasoning for not voting for Kamala.

    2. You’re not a revolutionary for voting for Kamala, you were voting for the status quo. Get involved this time when we actually have primaries and can oust the establishment dems.

    3. I think the most important part is that Effie gives up EVERYTHING to join the revolution. She's so much more miserable than she would've been if she just stayed in the Capitol and stuck to the status quo that benefited her. But she still chose the revolution because she knew it was the right thing to do. She chose to make her own life worse so that others could live better lives in the future. She decided that the benefits she gained did not outweigh the harm done to others

    4. Those white women will uphold preserve the patriarchy because they’re white husbands tell them too, because the white president tells them too, regardless of them being just as miserable as the rest of us..idiots 😂

    5. lol this is peak liberalism. The 47% who voted for Kamala would ALSO be part of the Capitol loyalists if they were in the Hunger Games. These actors are literally what the entertainment side of the Capitol in the books are based on. You’re not Katniss Everdeen if you voted for Kamala lmaoo

    6. It could’ve been the handmaid’s tales and people will still vote for it. Sad when people don’t know how to read right do math or think for themselves. I’m blaming Christianity as they have their hands tied up in a lot of different ways. They live eat sleep breathe this type of torture.

    7. I don’t understand that either.

      I also don't understand:

-why any woman voted for Trump. Especially when his campaign was about taking rights away from women
-why men with wives, sisters, daughters, etc voted for Trump
-why millions of Democrat voters stayed home
-why Elon Musk is not in jail right now for election interference
-why we are still pretending Russia isn't interfering with our elections
-why anyone voted for higher prices, higher taxes (unless you're the 1%), stupid wars, incompetent government officials, and everything else wrong with this administration

    8. voting for kamala is not revolutionary. it would have been revolutionary for men and women in the working class uniting and seizing control of our own government.

    9. "What were you thinking?" Um, could be many things but more than likely racist and sexist thoughts. I mean, both times Trump won it was against a woman. First one was white, sure. But then the next was a "younger" (and I say that very loosely) woman and not white.

    10. The trump voters thought about it.
And they liked what they saw.
The non voter was still believing that they were doing no harm by sitting out another election, usually because of laziness.
So it seems there's a hateful greedy group, and an obtuse lazy group.
Together, their bile and stupidity gave rise to the America that the world knows today.

    11. I haven’t seen the movies. But in the book Effie was a pretty pathetic entity bc she had developed skills for survival in a world that she had to leave, not only bc she sort of helped katniss, but also bc the association she had w Katniss left her no choice. She was going to be made an example of, whether she helped or not, it became a matter of her own survival to join K to have a hope of getting away.

    12. I'm a white woman and I'm proud of who I voted for
and it sure wasn't cackling Kamala's dumb butt. She did such a great job at being the border czar that didn't make one trip to the border.

    13. White people in general should be this way but instead most just look the other way because it doesnt affect them or they are flat out down for the oppression.

    14. It sounds amazing and full of hope, but Kamala is not the one we have proven that when Kamala was in the political chair she silenced the people who protested..

    15. Trump is America and Americans are Trump.
Americans in general need to get a good look in the mirror.
The complacency and nonchalance of that country is beyond.
They are so selfish and distracted

    16. To be fair, it sounds like she DOES understand the 53% of white women who voted for Trump—in that they are just like Effie, benefiting (or so they think) from a fascist regime, without the empathy to understand how that regime hurts others until someone they know and love is a victim. Which gets to a more insidious rot at the heart of conservatism and American individualism, completely disregarding the collective good for personal gain.
