  1. Life is hard, why make life harder? A simple life is enough. You have made everyone slaves to fashion. It is very sad that women who are worth a penny are an example to the woman of world.

  2. To be fair, what did people expect the sequel to be?
The reason the film worked is because it was a very specific story of a very specific dynamic between two very specific kinds of people; It was about a relatively tough boss and her new inexperienced employee who didn't know what a real job with an executive would be like. Everything – the drama and the humor – stemmed from the dynamic between those two opposite types working together. You can't just go 2 decades later where both are completely different types of people and expect anything resembling the same kind of experience. A woman with decades of experience in a field and her boss isn't an interesting story. There's nothing surprising or interesting about it. It's just executives doing their jobs.

  3. The writing and the dialogues seem a bit disappointing. It’s like those were written by an amateur. The writing in the first movie are more natural and iconic.

  4. People being mean, snobbish and superior. This is entertainment? I hope Anne Hathaway’s character doesn’t stutter her way through the whole movie.

  5. I don't care how good or bad the story is, I am so looking forward to spending 90 or so minutes with these characters again and of course, the fashion!

  6. Everything about this scene feels off. Firstly, why is Miranda walking behind Nigel? The Miranda from the original film would always take the lead – having her walk at the back with Andy is absurdly out of character. And then she is made to squeeze in past Nigel to make it through the door, like she's trying to avoid being noticed? It's ridiculous. Also, Emily Blunt's delivery of the "No, you are not" line seems to have a seriously misplaced tone. Why does it sound like she is telling Andy that she is not the new editor, when it should come across as horrified shock? Also, why is there no close-up shot when Miranda delivers her "we're all so thrilled" one-liner? Surely the director would try to capitalize on Meryl Streep's masterful facial expressions to help sell the quip? It all feels dreadfully cheap and rushed, which is difficult to excuse when considering the major budget bump that this sequel received. I really hope this all comes together in the final film.
