Last year, fans were thrilled to learn that Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson were reuniting for a Netflix docuseries. The three-part project was reportedly set to follow the pair as they reconnected post-One Direction on a road trip around America. But now, it sounds like the project may have stalled.

The Sun recently reported that the show was scrapped following an alleged fight between Zayn and Louis regarding Louis’s mother Johannah Deakin, who died in 2016 after battling leukemia. Louis has previously spoken about how close he was to her.

While details surrounding the alleged incident were limited, a source described the situation as “shocking.”

“It made Louis so upset, it was clear there was no way he would ever return to filming with Zayn,” a source said.

According to the Sun, Netflix had hoped the two would reconcile after the incident — which was said to have occurred six months ago — but when that didn’t happen, the streamer ultimately pulled the series.

Neither Zayn, Louis, nor Netflix has publicly addressed the claims. However, People reports that Louis appears to have unfollowed Zayn on Instagram, and that two of his sisters did the same. Meanwhile, Zayn still follows Louis on the app.

Meanwhile, the project’s director, Nicola Marsh, appeared to acknowledge the situation on Instagram.
