Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame is returning to theaters this fall with new footage before the release of Avengers: Doomsday.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo announced the Endgame re-release at CinemaCon. They said the 2019 film, which is already over 3 hours, will have brand-new footage. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige also confirmed it will include a few “surprises.”
Feige said Doomsday will pick up where Endgame left off “but also go back to when it all started with X-Men.” Several actors from Fox’s X-Men films will appear in Doomsday, including Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Ian McKellen as Magneto.
Disney also announced Infinity Vision, a new certification for premium large format theaters, which will debut with the re-release of Avengers: Endgame and later be used for Avengers: Doomsday.
Infinity Vision is “designed to signify to audiences the biggest, brightest, and most immersive cinematic experiences.” The certification focuses on the largest screens for maximum scale, laser projection for superior brightness and clarity, and premium audio formats for fully immersive sound.
