This is why we can’t have nice things. These are iconic pieces of pop history and I pray that these are recovered soon.

  2. How does one even steal Madonna’s outfit pieces? Like it must be someone who works at the event or something

  3. This is abhorrent and shameful. She wore the same outfit at her first and last Coachella performance exactly 20 years ago. Someone is clearly trying to make good money off it and unfortunately, they will.

Only so many people can go backstage at these events. Shame on her team for not securing these pieces of history.

Start of the headline makes it seem like she stole them, which would have made for a much better story

  6. can’t particularly say i feel bad for her.. i work in fashion and have associates who have worked with her directly and she is notorious for not paying people and taking their work and ripping them off. seems like karma.

What’s the end game for the thief? I mean, they can’t really sell them because obviously they would be outed. Unless they’re a super fan that just plans on keeping them but considering how few people even knew her songs, that’s not terribly likely.

Tbh idk, after 40 years of being a global sensation I’d be so *whatever girl* like you can have it. I feel like I wouldn’t even know where 3/4ths of my tour outfits have gone off too. If a fan wanted them that bad…you got it. Lmao half that stuff ends up in a museum, or thrift store to be discovered by some local, podunk reporter decades later anyway lol.

My theory is that they got accidentally packed up with Sabrina’s wardrobe because someone wasn’t paying attention and figured they were hers. Both women are the same height and pretty much the same size. That would be the best case scenario and I hope that’s what it turns out to be.

  10. Side note I didn’t realize it was originally bright pink. Damn 20 years and it turns into a pretty lilac collar unless I’m just blind.

I hope they can be recovered! But I wouldn’t be surprised if someone swiped them for their personal collection.

I worked in costumes/wardrobe for many years in film/tv. One of the lead actresses on one show was getting married and had brought her gown in for the show tailor to adjust. When she came back to do a fitting for it the gown, it was gone. An absolutely wild thing for someone to take off with — but there’s so many people coming and going in these spaces, it could’ve been anyone. She wasn’t even that well-known. It was so bizarre.

People will just seize an opportunity sometimes with no rhyme or reason.

How does that even happen?! Omg 😫 someone on her crew should be fired.

could you imagine being some drunkie who changed in a room and grabbed the wrong bag? not saying this happened bc it’s unlikely but boy would it be funny. going from incredibly hung over to sheer panic after opening your duffle bag

I worked stage crew for my college. Lupe fiasco was an artist performing at our annual concert. I didnt steal it, but he left an undershirt in the classroom that was designated as his dressing room. I kept it for quite awhile. Only my college roomate knows

Using a Gmail? Really? Seems sus, why not use a Madonna.com address so everyone knows it’s legit.

  16. Whoever stole them, give them back they’re worthless now we all know that it’s been stolen and you can’t get a good profit for it now so give up

This is super shitty and I hope she gets them back but it’s actually sending me that Madonna’s team has a GMAIL account šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
