I wish we could get more original movies. We don’t need a millionth Beatles doc or some other musician. I say this as someone who likes MJ and the Beatles
I see the review bombing from the critics have already started. The box office numbers will speak for the film! They have been trying to do a hate campaign for weeks now but it will not work.
Edit: You haters can downvote all you want. This will be the biggest biopic ever dropped in theaters! The numbers it will receive globally alone, no other biopic can do.

I know this is going to make a lot of money, but I genuinely have seen 0 promo. It might be that I’ve just managed to to curate my feeds/algo to the point that nothing regarding jackson comes thru, but I think I’ve seen 1 poster at one of big cineplexes and that’s pretty much it

I saw the trailer at the cinema and it looked rank, although obviously the music was catchy. I can’t separate the artist from his alleged deeds and I literally can’t bring myself to listen to his music but damn, it was good.

Basically the reviews are it’s bland af, essentially a toned down revisionist medium to listen to Michael Jackson music for 2 hours and we don’t get any new insight into MJ with strong performances from Jaafar Jackson and Coleman Domingo

I seem to be the only person who is surprised… I thought Antoine Fuqua + Colman Domingo would make this at least somewhat compelling.
I knew the relationship with the Jackson estate meant it was going to at least be somewhat of a glaze, though.
